Docker is a developer tools company founded in 2010 (originally as dotCloud) by Solomon Hykes and others. The company is behind Docker, the container technology that revolutionized application packaging and distribution, along with Docker Desktop and Docker Hub.

After selling its enterprise business to Mirantis in 2019, Docker refocused on developer tools. Docker Desktop and Docker Hub serve millions of developers worldwide, and the company has expanded into AI developer tools with offerings like Docker Model Runner.

Docker has raised approximately $433 million across its history, including a $105 million Series C in 2022 led by Bain Capital Ventures at a reported $2.1 billion valuation. Mark Cavage serves as CEO.
