HireVue

HireVue was founded in 2004 by Mark Newman in South Jordan, Utah, and provides AI-powered video interviewing and pre-hire assessment software to enterprise employers. The platform combines video interviews, structured skills assessments, and workflow automation to accelerate candidate screening across the hiring funnel.

The platform supports more than 35 languages and has facilitated over 80 million interviews for more than 1,150 enterprise customers globally. Key products include Virtual Job Tryout, game-based assessments, technical assessments, language proficiency tests, and an AI Interviewer. In 2023, HireVue acquired competitor Modern Hire, adding approximately 450 enterprise assessment clients to its roster.

HireVue raised $25 million in a Series D round led by Sequoia Capital in 2013 and received a growth equity investment from The Carlyle Group in 2019, bringing total known funding to approximately $390 million. As of 2024, the company employs approximately 326 people and is led by CEO Jeremy Friedman, who assumed the role in January 2024.
