Vizcom

Vizcom is an artificial intelligence design platform that converts hand-drawn sketches into photorealistic renders and editable 3D models for industrial and product designers. The company was founded in 2021 by Jordan Taylor and Kaelan Richards and is headquartered in San Francisco. Taylor, who serves as chief executive officer, previously worked as an industrial designer at Honda and Nvidia, while Richards came from a software engineering background; the pair built an early version of the product before entering the AI Grant accelerator in late 2022.

The platform lets designers sketch a concept and generate finished renders in seconds, then adjust color, material, lighting, and scene, convert 2D drawings into 3D geometry, and animate the results. Vizcom positions the tools as an aid to human designers rather than a replacement, and it is used by more than 150 companies, including Ford, New Balance, Dell, Sony, Kohler, Target, Esteé Lauder, and Omega. Around its Series B the company reported more than 700,000 registered designers, with adoption concentrated in automotive, footwear, apparel, and consumer goods design teams.

Vizcom has raised roughly $52 million in venture funding across three rounds. A $5 million seed round led by Unusual Ventures closed in January 2023, followed by a $20 million Series A led by Index Ventures in March 2024 and a $27 million Series B led by Radical Ventures in October 2025, with continued participation from Index Ventures, Unusual Ventures, and Basis Set. The company employed roughly 70 people as of 2026 and remains privately held, with Jordan Taylor as chief executive officer.
