DeepScribe is an ambient clinical documentation company founded in 2017 in San Francisco by Akilesh Bapu and Matthew Ko, both UC Berkeley alumni. The platform uses AI to turn patient-clinician conversations into complete clinical notes in real time.

DeepScribe is deployed at more than 1,000 healthcare organizations, including Ochsner Health, and was the first AI scribe to capture 1 million patient visits.

The company has raised approximately $60 million across three rounds, including a $30 million Series A led by Index Ventures.
