Harness Inc. develops an AI-native software delivery platform that automates the stages of shipping software, spanning continuous integration and delivery, feature management, infrastructure-as-code, cloud cost management, and security testing. The company was founded in 2017 by Jyoti Bansal, who had earlier built application-performance firm AppDynamics and sold it to Cisco for $3.7 billion in 2017, together with co-founder Rishi Singh. It is headquartered in San Francisco.

Harness sells modules including Continuous Delivery & GitOps, Continuous Integration, an Internal Developer Portal, Infrastructure as Code Management, Feature Management & Experimentation, Cloud Cost Management, and application security testing, which engineering teams adopt individually or as a combined suite. The platform competes with GitLab, CircleCI, and cloud-native DevOps tooling, and serves more than 1,000 customers. In 2025 the company positioned itself around "AI for everything after code," extending automation to testing, incident response, and the operational work that follows code generation.

Harness launched in 2017 with a $20 million Series A and has raised roughly $614 million across several rounds from investors including Menlo Ventures, IVP, Unusual Ventures, and Goldman Sachs. A $230 million Series D in April 2022 valued the company at $3.7 billion, while a $240 million round led by Goldman Sachs Alternatives in December 2025 lifted the valuation to $5.5 billion. Harness employs an estimated 1,200 to 1,600 people and remains privately held.
