iManage

iManage is a document and email management software company headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Originally founded in 1995 as Interwoven, the company was later acquired by Autonomy, then by Hewlett-Packard, before being spun out as an independent company in 2015 under the iManage name following a management buyout backed by Thoma Bravo. Neil Araujo serves as CEO.

iManage's core product, iManage Work, is a document management system widely used by law firms, accounting firms, and financial services organizations to manage, search, and collaborate on documents and emails. The platform includes security and governance tools under the iManage Security Policy Manager and iManage Threat Manager product lines. The company counts a significant portion of the Am Law 200 and major global professional services firms among its customers.

Following the 2015 spinout, iManage has grown through organic development and acquisitions, including the purchase of Closing Folders, a transaction management platform, in 2019. The company employs approximately 1,000 to 2,000 people globally and operates offices in the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia. It has continued to expand its platform with AI-assisted search and knowledge management capabilities in recent years.
