Litera

Kira Systems is an AI-powered contract analysis platform founded in 2011 in Toronto by Noah Waisberg and Alexander Hudek. The software uses machine learning to extract and analyze contract clauses for M&A due diligence, lease abstraction, and contract management.

Kira is used by top law firms and Fortune 500 corporate legal departments. Litera, a legal tech company owned by Hg, acquired Kira in August 2021 and now offers Kira alongside its broader document automation and collaboration suite.

Kira had raised approximately $50 million in venture funding, led by Insight Partners, prior to the Litera acquisition.
