Lucidchart

Lucidchart is a cloud-based diagramming and visual collaboration platform founded in 2010 by Karl Sun and Ben Dilts and headquartered in South Jordan, Utah. The company operates as part of Lucid Software, which also produces Lucidspark, a virtual whiteboard tool, and Lucidscale, a cloud architecture visualization product.

Lucidchart allows users to create flowcharts, org charts, network diagrams, process maps, UML diagrams, and other structured visuals through a browser-based interface. The platform integrates with tools including Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, Atlassian products, and Slack. It serves a broad range of enterprise customers across industries including technology, finance, and healthcare, and is used by a significant portion of Fortune 500 companies for process documentation and systems design.

Lucid Software raised a $72 million Series B round in 2021, bringing its valuation to approximately $2 billion and giving it unicorn status. The company had previously operated largely on revenue without significant outside funding. As of the early 2020s, Lucid Software employed over 1,000 people across its South Jordan headquarters and additional offices.
