Persona is an identity verification company founded in 2018 in San Francisco by Rick Song and Charles Yeh, former engineers at Square and Dropbox. The unified identity platform provides KYC, document and biometric verification, database checks, and orchestration for fintechs, marketplaces, and AI applications.

Persona serves thousands of companies in 200+ countries, including Robinhood, Wayfair, and BlockFi.

The company has raised approximately $418 million, including a $200 million Series D in 2025 at a $2 billion valuation, co-led by Founders Fund and Ribbit Capital.
