Recursion

Recursion Pharmaceuticals is a techbio company founded in 2013 in Salt Lake City by Chris Gibson, Blake Borgeson, and Dean Li. The company operates the Recursion OS, an integrated platform that combines automated wet labs, image-based phenomics, and AI to identify novel drug candidates.

Recursion has built a pipeline spanning rare genetic diseases and oncology, with partnerships including Bayer, Roche/Genentech, and NVIDIA. In October 2024 it completed its acquisition of Exscientia, creating a larger AI drug discovery platform.

Recursion went public on Nasdaq in April 2021 under ticker RXRX. Chris Gibson continues as CEO.
