Rossum is an AI-powered document processing platform founded in 2017 in Prague by three AI PhD students, Tomáš Gogár (CEO), Petr Baudiš, and Tomáš Tunys. The software automates ingestion and extraction of data from semi-structured business documents such as invoices and purchase orders.

Rossum serves enterprise customers including Siemens, Pepsi, and Bosch, and is positioned as an alternative to traditional OCR and RPA approaches. It processes documents in more than 60 languages.

The company raised a $100 million Series A in October 2021 led by General Catalyst, with participation from LocalGlobe, Seedcamp, Miton, and Elad Gil, bringing total funding to $104.5 million.
