About Supio

Supio develops an artificial-intelligence platform for plaintiff-side personal injury and mass tort law firms, using AI to organize and analyze unstructured case files such as medical records and to draft legal documents including demand letters and medical chronologies. The company was founded in 2021 by Jerry Zhou (CEO) and Kyle Lam (CTO), former Microsoft engineers who previously worked on Office 365, and is headquartered in Seattle, with a second office in San Francisco.

The platform connects to a firm's existing document systems and integrates with legal tools such as Westlaw, Litify, MyCase and CasePeer. Its products span pre-litigation and litigation work, including case intake, medical chronologies, demand-letter generation, case economics analysis and litigation drafting, and in 2025 the company introduced Supio Agent, which it markets as an agentic AI system for plaintiff law. Supio says the software is used by hundreds of personal injury firms; law firm TorHoerman Law used the platform to process more than 40,000 pages of medical records while preparing a case that produced a $495 million settlement against Abbott Laboratories.

Supio emerged from stealth in August 2024 with an oversubscribed $25 million Series A led by Sapphire Ventures, with Bonfire Ventures and Foothill Ventures participating. In April 2025 it raised a $60 million Series B led by Sapphire Ventures, with new investors Mayfield and Thomson Reuters Ventures, bringing total funding to $91 million. The company employs roughly 170 people and has said it plans to expand its engineering and go-to-market teams.

EvenUp logo
EvenUp7.3/10

Nearly identical product scope for personal-injury demand-letter and case-prep AI, but Supio covers the full case lifecycle from intake through litigation with flat, predictable pricing, while EvenUp focuses more narrowly on pre-litigation demand generation with pricing tied to demand type and edits.

E
Eve

Eve (eve.legal) is a broader plaintiff-side AI platform spanning case evaluation, demands, chronologies and discovery support end-to-end, and is currently the best-capitalized player in the space -- a $103M Series B in September 2025 at a $1B+ valuation led by Spark Capital, versus Supio's $91M raised to date.

F
Filevine

Filevine is case-management-first (matter management, billing, intake) with AI layered on via its MedChron chronology tool and drafting features, versus Supio's AI-native platform built specifically around case intelligence and demand generation; many PI firms run Filevine for case operations while evaluating Supio separately for AI-driven case prep.
