Twist

Twist is an async-first team communication app launched in 2017 by Doist, the maker of Todoist. Designed for focused, threaded discussions, Twist positions itself as an alternative to Slack for distributed teams that want less noise and fewer interruptions.

Doist, founded in 2007 by Amir Salihefendic, is a fully remote company with employees across dozens of countries. Twist is a natural complement to Todoist, the popular task management app.

Doist is bootstrapped and independent, with Amir Salihefendic as CEO and founder.
