About Uizard Technologies

Uizard Technologies was founded in 2018 in Copenhagen, Denmark by Tony Beltramelli, Henrik Haugbølle, Ioannis Sintos, and Florian van Schreven. The company originated from a 2017 machine learning research project called "pix2code," which demonstrated automated conversion of UI screenshots into frontend code. Beltramelli serves as co-founder and CEO.

The platform allows product managers, developers, and designers to generate wireframes, mockups, and interactive multi-screen prototypes using text prompts, screenshots, or hand-drawn sketches. Its Autodesigner feature generates complete app and web interfaces from natural language descriptions; Screenshot Scanner converts existing images into editable designs; and Wireframe Scanner digitizes hand-drawn sketches. Uizard grew to over 3 million users including teams at Fortune 500 companies, with approximately 25,000 active teams and 10,000 new projects started weekly.

The company raised $18.6 million in total venture funding, including a $15 million Series A in August 2021 led by Insight Partners. Prior to acquisition, Uizard employed approximately 54 people across 10 countries. Miro, the Amsterdam- and San Francisco-based collaborative whiteboard platform, acquired Uizard on May 27, 2024. The product continues to operate as a standalone tool under Miro Labs, with plans for deeper integration into Miro's platform.
