Wudpecker

Wudpecker is an AI-powered meeting assistant developed by Wudpecker Oy, a software startup founded in 2022 and headquartered in Helsinki, Finland. The company was co-founded by Ankur Dahama (CEO), Hai Ta, and Joona Jokivuori, all of whom studied at Tampere University of Technology.

The platform records, transcribes, and generates structured notes from video calls on Zoom, Google Meet, and Microsoft Teams. Users can define custom note formats, specify vocabulary, select from 35 output languages, and query meeting content through a built-in chat interface called Ask Wudpecker. Notable customers include Nokia, TikTok, Salesforce, Deliveroo, and Google. Data is stored on EU-based servers and the product is GDPR-compliant.

In October 2023, Wudpecker raised €330,000 in a pre-seed round from Trind VC, Accelerace, and Sofokus Ventures. The company operates as a small team and offers a freemium pricing model with a two-week free trial.
