Braintrust

Braintrust is an AI evaluation and observability platform founded in 2023 in San Francisco by Ankur Goyal, formerly head of ML Platform at Figma and MemSQL/SingleStore. The platform helps engineering and product teams evaluate, log, and monitor LLM applications and AI agents.

Braintrust customers include AI-native startups and Fortune 500 enterprises building generative AI products. The platform offers prompt engineering, dataset versioning, automated scoring, and trace observability.

The company raised an $80 million Series B in February 2026 at an $800 million valuation, led by ICONIQ with participation from Andreessen Horowitz, Greylock, Elad Gil, and basecase capital. Total funding is approximately $121 million.
