Fireworks AI is an AI inference cloud founded in 2022 in Redwood City by Lin Qiao, a former Senior Director of Engineering at Meta who led PyTorch. The platform provides low-latency inference, fine-tuning, and serverless deployment of open-source LLMs and multimodal models.

Fireworks powers production AI for customers including Uber, Genspark, and Shopify, specializing in high-throughput, cost-efficient inference.

The company raised a $250 million Series C in October 2025 at a $4 billion valuation. Total funding is approximately $307 million from Sequoia, Benchmark, NVIDIA, AMD, and others.
