Shopify is an e-commerce platform founded in 2006 in Ottawa, Canada by Tobi Lütke, Daniel Weinand, and Scott Lake. The company provides online store creation, payments, shipping, and marketing tools used by more than 5 million merchants worldwide.

Shopify powers more than 10% of U.S. e-commerce and counts Mattel, Heinz, and Gymshark among enterprise Shopify Plus customers. The company has expanded into B2B commerce, point-of-sale, and Shopify Magic AI tools.

Shopify went public on the NYSE and TSX in 2015 (SHOP). Tobi Lütke remains CEO. The company has a market capitalization over $150 billion.
