Vellum, incorporated as Vocify Inc., is a New York-based artificial intelligence company founded in 2023 by Akash Sharma, Noa Flaherty, and Sidd Seethepalli. The company participated in Y Combinator's Winter 2023 batch and initially built an enterprise development platform for creating, evaluating, and deploying LLM-powered applications.

The company's product is a personal AI assistant platform branded as "Your Personal Intelligence," designed to learn user workflows and act proactively across tools including Gmail, Slack, GitHub, and Linear. The assistant uses eight memory categories—episodic, semantic, procedural, emotional, prospective, behavioral, narrative, and shared—to build context over time. Vellum offers cloud-hosted and self-hosted deployment and integrates with iOS, macOS, web, voice, email, and messaging platforms.

Vellum raised a $20 million Series A in July 2025 led by Leaders Fund, with participation from Y Combinator, Socii Capital, Rebel Fund, Pioneer Fund, and Eastlink Capital. In early 2026, the company raised an additional $25 million from investors including Dharmesh Shah (HubSpot co-founder), Arash Ferdowsi (Dropbox co-founder), Rebel Fund, and Y Combinator, funding its expansion into consumer-facing personal AI. The company employs approximately 20 people.
