Zoom Communications is a video-first unified communications company founded in 2011 in San Jose, California by Eric Yuan, a former Cisco engineer who led WebEx engineering. The platform provides video meetings, team chat, VoIP phone, webinars, whiteboarding, contact center, and events.

Zoom serves more than 200,000 enterprise customers and saw explosive usage growth during the COVID-19 pandemic. It has since expanded into AI assistants (Zoom AI Companion), contact center, and workvibe platforms.

Zoom went public on NASDAQ in April 2019 under ticker ZM. Eric Yuan remains CEO. The company reports over $4.5 billion in annual revenue.
