dbt Labs is a data transformation company founded in 2016 by Tristan Handy and Drew Banin. The company maintains dbt, the open-source tool that has become a standard for transforming data in analytics warehouses, and offers dbt Cloud, a managed platform for analytics engineering teams.

dbt has more than 50,000 active users and dbt Cloud serves more than 5,000 enterprise customers, including JetBlue, HubSpot, Nasdaq, and JPMorgan Chase.

The company has raised approximately $414 million, including a $222 million Series D in 2022 at a $4.2 billion valuation, led by Altimeter and Sequoia. Tristan Handy serves as CEO.
