Perceptyx, Inc. develops an employee experience platform that combines employee listening — census, lifecycle, and always-on surveys — with people analytics and AI-driven coaching. The company was co-founded in 2003 by John Borland, who served as chief executive until 2025, and is headquartered in Temecula, California. Ross Wainwright, previously head of Alida, was appointed CEO in 2025, with Borland remaining on the board.

The company's People Insights Platform is organized around three capability sets: Discover, for continuous listening and driver analysis of engagement and retention; Activate, which delivers personalized coaching and behavioral nudges to managers through Microsoft Teams, Slack, email, and mobile; and Develop, for adaptive learning conversations. Customers include Amtrak, Citi, Sysco, Prudential, Eaton, and NBC, and the company reports serving roughly one third of the Fortune 100. Perceptyx has been named a leader in employee listening evaluations by Forrester and is covered by Gartner and Fosway Group.

Perceptyx operated without outside capital from its founding until August 2019, when it took a strategic growth investment of undisclosed size from TCV, its first external funding. It has since expanded through acquisitions: employee-voice platform Waggl and culture-assessment firm CultureIQ in 2021, AI leadership-coaching startup Cultivate in 2022, and Humu — the behavioral-science 'nudge' company co-founded by former Google HR chief Laszlo Bock — in 2023. The company employs roughly 350 to 400 people.
