BambooHR is an HR software company founded in 2008 in Lindon, Utah by Ben Peterson and Ryan Sanders. The platform provides core HR, applicant tracking, onboarding, performance management, and payroll geared toward small and mid-sized businesses.

BambooHR serves more than 34,000 customers and over 3 million employees worldwide, making it one of the largest SMB HRIS providers.

The company remained bootstrapped for years before Vista Equity Partners made a $97.4 million minority investment in 2019. Brad Rencher, formerly of Adobe and BlueOwl, serves as CEO.
