Moveworks is narrowly focused on automating employee IT and HR support tickets through one AI assistant, versus Dust's general-purpose, multi-assistant workspace spanning any team function. Moveworks was acquired by ServiceNow in 2025 for about $2.85B and is now sold as part of the ServiceNow platform rather than as an independent product.

Ema pitches a single autonomous "universal AI employee" that executes cross-department workflows end-to-end, a more autonomous framing than Dust's collaborative, human-in-the-loop assistant model. Ema is based in the US (Santa Clara area) versus Dust's Paris-and-SF base, and targets ops-heavy departments like finance and customer support first.

Kore.ai grew out of customer-facing IVR and chatbot deployments before expanding into agentic enterprise tools, whereas Dust started as an internal, employee-facing knowledge assistant. Kore.ai, based in Orlando, sells heavily into contact-center and CX budgets — a different buyer than the ops/IT/product teams Dust targets.

Microsoft Copilot Studio ships bundled inside the Microsoft 365 suite many of Dust's customers already pay for, giving it default distribution Dust can't match, but it's tightly coupled to Microsoft's own data stack (SharePoint, Teams, Dynamics). Dust is LLM- and connector-agnostic, letting customers pick OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral or Google models and pull from Notion, Slack, GitHub and Google Drive alike.
