poly.ai/PolyAI is a London-based enterprise voice AI company. Founded in 2017 as a University of Cambridge spinout by Nikola Mrkšić, Pei-Hao Su, and Tsung-Hsien Wen — three Cambridge PhDs who had worked on VocalIQ, the voice-recognition startup Apple acquired in 2015 — it builds conversational dialog agents that handle inbound calls for enterprise contact centers.
The company's platform, Agent Studio, lets enterprises build, deploy, and adapt spoken dialog agents across multiple languages and channels, backed by a proprietary model called Raven trained on more than one billion enterprise conversations. PolyAI's customers include PG&E, UniCredit, Golden Nugget, Fogo de Chão, Quicken, and Simplyhealth, and it competes in the contact-center automation market against rivals such as Sierra and Decagon. Annual recurring revenue doubled to roughly $40 million in 2025, with U.S. revenue nearly tripling.
PolyAI has raised over $200 million to date. In December 2025 it closed an $86 million Series D at a $750 million valuation, led by Georgian, Hedosophia, and Khosla Ventures, with participation from NVIDIA's venture arm NVentures, the British Business Bank, Citi Ventures, and Point72 Ventures — a 50% jump from the $500 million valuation set in its May 2024 round. Led by co-founder and CEO Nikola Mrkšić, the company employs between 51 and 200 people and operates additional offices in the United States and Singapore.
