Vapi is a voice AI developer platform founded in 2020 in San Francisco by Jordan Dearsley and Nikhil Gupta. The product lets developers build, test, and deploy voice AI agents for phone calls and support across industries.

Vapi has scaled rapidly since launch, serving customers in finance, healthcare, and travel. The company is a Y Combinator alumnus.

Vapi raised a $20 million Series A in December 2024 led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Abstract Ventures, AI Grant, Y Combinator, Saga Ventures, and Michael Ovitz, at a $130 million valuation.
