Attentive Mobile Inc. runs a marketing platform that lets brands build subscriber lists and send personalized text-message (SMS), email, RCS, and push campaigns. The company was founded in 2016 by Brian Long and Andrew Jones, who had previously sold their mobile ad-attribution startup TapCommerce to Twitter, and is headquartered in New York.

The platform is built around a two-tap opt-in system for capturing mobile subscribers and a set of AI tools branded Attentive AI, including AI Journeys and AI Pro, alongside its Concierge conversational-SMS service and the Attentive Signal identity product. The company says it serves more than 8,000 brands, among them Urban Outfitters, Steve Madden, Crate & Barrel, Kendra Scott, and The Vitamin Shoppe, and competes with Klaviyo and Braze in the retail marketing software market. Attentive reported that annual recurring revenue passed $500 million in 2024.

Attentive has raised roughly $864 million from investors including Sequoia Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, Coatue, IVP, Tiger Global, and Eniac Ventures, capped by a $470 million Series E round in March 2021, led by Tiger Global and Coatue, that valued the company at about $7 billion. It employs more than 1,000 people across offices in New York, San Francisco, London, and Sydney. In June 2023, co-founder Brian Long handed the CEO role to Amit Jhawar, the former Venmo chief executive who had joined as president in 2021, and became executive chairman.
